Science Lead Learner
Anatomy and Physiology
I am beginning my 5th year at Pike Road School and have taught a variety of science courses, including; AP Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, Biology, Earth and Space Science, and Life Science. This year I will add Environmental Science to the list. I attended Auburn University in Montgomery for both my Bachelors in Biology and my Masters in Secondary Education. I love teaching; I especially have a passion for my students. I believe that students deserve the very best education that we, as educators, can offer. This is why I believe in Pike Road and appreciate our mission: to create a culture of intellectual curiosity where all students have ownership over their learning and are inspired to think, innovate, and create.
When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my son and husband. My son will be entering 10th grade at Pike Road High School this year, and he loves to play baseball and hunt. My husband of 17 years works in IT Sales and works with many schools and businesses throughout the Southeast. We love to travel, spend time at the beach, and watch baseball.
