It is my distinct honor to introduce myself as a Special Education Lead Learner at Pike Road High School. It is indeed a privilege to be apart of such a wonderful educational team. I am from Montgomery, Alabama where I graduated from Carver High School in 1985.
I am a proud Alumnus of The Alabama State University, where I obtained two degrees. A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, and a Master's in Collaborative Teaching in Special Education. I have high expectations to dedicate my knowledge, skills, and abilities to my students and the parents. My professional educational began in August 2007, working in the Montgomery Public Schools at Brew baker Middle School and furthering my skills at Jefferson Davis High School . I have been teaching for 13 plus years now, all in the Special Education Department. I've worked for 10 years at Alabama State University as an Admissions Counselor, Program Director for Science and Technology, and work at , the State of Alabama for 9 years.
My motto is: "Every child can grow, and will grow with my help"! My plans are to build a rapport with every child based on their individual needs. I have a young ladies club here at Pike Road for young females in grades 7-12, named established as the Pike Road "Pearls"!
I am a dedicated member of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority Inc. and I am married to Tony Pitts a Navy Veteran. I look forward in working with you all!
