About Me

I attended Auburn University and graduated with a BS in Elementary Education.  After teaching ten years, I attended Alabama State University and graduated with a Masters in Library Education Media.  I love working with learners and the library degree gives me an opportunity to work with all learners on a daily basis.

This is my ninth year with Pike Road Schools and my twenty-sixth year as a lead learner!  I enjoy educating the Pike Road Way because our learners get an opportunity to be Rooted in Growth.

My husband, sons, and I enjoy spending time in the great outdoors appreciating all of the many wonders of God's creation!

Library Media Center

The Mission of the Library Media Center is to provide a program that will ensure all students, faculty, and community members have access to the most advanced technology and printed materials available. We want our LMC to be the hub of our school, where our students engage in reading, writing, and research.  Quiet areas for studying and common areas to facilitate group study/collaboration is another goal of our LMC.  Our mission is also to provide leadership and expertise in assisting patrons in finding and using information effectively.

Campus Yearbook Staff

The PRS Campus yearbook is a publication that reflects the events and lives of people involved with the school during a given year.  Members of the yearbook staff are hard-at-work all year long.  One of our goals is to include multiple photos of the student body.  We know that when a student opens their school's yearbook, the first thing they look for is themselves.  Remembering that, the yearbook staff spends time shooting, editing, tagging, and placing photos throughout the book.  Another goal of the yearbook staff is to write short captions for as many photos as possible.  Captions create a better understanding of photos and will help students remember happenings of their school days.  Each year the staff works hard to make the yearbook better than the year before.
